Tip Tuesday: Staying Hopeful

In light of all that is going on in the world right now, there are still good people doing good things. A fellow high school graduate of mine has created some hope in the lives of people in Durham, North Carolina. She has created a shopping system where if you are at a higher risk of contracting COVID-19 and need groceries, you can have someone do this task for you. Please check out the article to read more on the topic.

It is great to see people helping one another in areas around the country, it gives us hope. With all that is going on, all we want to really see anymore is good news. So from us at Jerry Noonan’s Auto Center, we wish to give you hope these next few weeks by sharing some good and fun things with you. Please everyone stay well, wash your hands, and keep smiling!

Our Effort to Flatten the Curve

To our Loyal Customer and Friends:

Out of the abundance of caution for both our customers and our employees, we will be available by phone and email for this week, and possibly next week, in an effort to do our part in helping to flatten the curve and the spread of COVID-19 virus.  We can be reached at (609)655-2886 or acct.noonansauto@gmail.com

This comes after much discussion and identifying everything that we could possibly do within our power to reduce any potential risk.  However, we will remain available to assist our community, especially those with an essential job like our first responders, nurses and hospital staff, pharmacy staff, food service staff, and grocery store staff.  We will do our best to keep your vehicles operational and reliable while you keep our community going.

We will continue to practice our COVID-19 sanitation protocol with every vehicle that arrives at our shop indefinitely.  The safety of our customers and our staff is the most important thing at this time.  We will continue to closely follow the ongoing circumstances and will communicate through social media and phone service should any situation change.  Thank you to our community for your business and understanding.

How is a tire repaired?

Tire repair is something that we handle a lot here at Jerry Noonan’s Auto Center. Throughout all seasons, tires get punctured from potholes, curbs, and debris found on the road. When a customer comes in with a punctured tire, we will assess it and make sure it can be repaired. In some cases, we experience vehicles that come in with a run flat tire, which cannot be repaired due to manufacturer guidelines. There are also situations that depending on where the puncture is, or if the vehicle was driven too long with the flat tire that the tire may need to be replaced.  We can order a replacement tire for your vehicle and have it all ready for you by the next day!

Now the question is how is a punctured tire repaired? Well, here at Jerry Noonan’s Auto Center, we patch tires. Patching a tire is a permanent fix to the hole from the inside of the tire, insuring your tire will last you it’s whole life. Our technicians will repair the tire and send you on your way. If you would like to make an appointment for us to check and repair your tire, please give us a call at, (609)-655-2886.

When should I get my oil changed?

Oil changes are a very important vehicle maintenance that needs to be done on a regular basis. The type of oil your vehicle requires dictates how long you can go in between oil changes. Most modern vehicles take synthetic oil or a synthetic blend. Another type of oil is conventional. Here at Jerry Noonan’s Auto Center, for a synthetic oil change, we recommend it should be done every 5,000 miles or 6 months. And for a conventional oil change, we recommend it should be done every 3,000 miles or 3 months.

When you come in for your appointment we will make sure that you are going to get the proper oil that your vehicle calls for. During your oil change visit, we also perform a complimentary safety inspection. Our safety inspection is a basic look at how your vehicle is doing overall. Our technicians will check your wiper blades, washer fluid, tire pressure, and so many other items. If you are getting a tire rotation during this service (which we recommend every 6,000 miles) the technician will also check your brakes.

If you would like to make an appointment for an oil change, please give us a call at (609)-655-2886 and we would be more than happy to schedule you in!
